Hi! My name is Yu-Sha Vergeer.
I’m a 23-year-old graduate student from the Netherlands, studying Global Business & Sustainability at the Erasmus University Rotterdam and Economics & Governance at Leiden University.
This blog initially started as a way of keeping family and friends up to date during my adventures in Canada as an exchange student. After a while, I decided to keep posting pictures – both old and new – and to make the blog publicly accessible (after a little censorship).
I would not call myself an experienced traveller- I simlpy haven’t travelled that much. Although I visited some astonishing places, most photos demonstrating these experiences, my aim is not to create a perfect-looking travel blog. I’d rather describe it as a photoblog that shows everyday images, offering a glimpse into someone else’s life (or at least a moment out of that life). Whether I visit new continents, vast landscapes, extinct areas or explore next-door cities, I always feel the desire to take my camera with me. To capture, document, immortalize. I think the greatest pictures are not the aesthetic ones about the breakfast we’ve just had (that’s where we use Instagram for, right?) but the ones that tell a story. Real and authentic. It sound’s like a cliche, and it probably is.
Well, I hope you enjoy this blog!
